Music for Babies

This class introduces baby to musical play and basic instrument exploration. Move through space, internalize rhythm and learn new songs with your child. Bathe your child in the language of music during a critical period of brain development when pathways are most ripe for receiving new information. A great bonding experience for caregiver and child!

A sensory experience for each child based on folk songs from around the world. This class involves dancing, rocking, finger plays, bouncing, simple ear-training patterns, focused listening and instrument play. Have fun with your children while watching them grow in confidence and independence.

Children use their imagination on a journey through the seasons as they become immersed in the offerings of the world around them. This class explores creative movement, storytelling, imaginative play, focused listening, sensorial games and instruments, all within a musical context. Build on your child's sense of community through music making.
Musical "toolbox": longer attention span, tuneful singing, steady beat, reading/writing of graphic notation, listening skills and learning and expressing musical language.

Music Makers: At Home in The World
Pre-keyboard skills class
4 1/2 to Seven Years
(60 minutes: 50 dropoff final 10 min with caregiver)
Children continue building their Musical "Toolbox" with singing and movement, ensemble-playing, ear-training, music reading/writing and musical games. This class stimulates and enhances the areas of the brain responsible for creative expression, concentration, memory and empathy. It offers a sequential pathway to music literacy that prepares a child for successful future study on any instrument. It is a two-year sequenced course.
